Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Long pants are preferred because of the close contact that occurs when playing capoeira.
Capoeira is often trained barefoot. However many people opt to wear shoes. Should you choose to train in shoes, they should be low athletic shoes with non-marking soles that are clean and indoor-only.
Please bring a water bottle and a sweat towel.
We strive to include everyone, from beginners to experienced players. We are not high-flying acrobats you often see on social media depictions of capoeira. We are largely middle-aged folks working hard to stay active, mobile, and engaged. If you share those goals, then absolutely you can do this! We do recommend starting with the begineer classes, but you are absolutely welcome at any of the sessions.
